Trying flying fish tempura! | トビウオの天ぷらを食べてみました！

Since Yakushima is an island, you can find a lot of fresh sashimi and delicious fish to eat. But one specialty that you shouldn’t miss is flying fish!
屋久島は島なので、新鮮な刺身や美味しい魚がたくさん食べられます。しかし、その中でも外せない名物がトビウオだ！

Our staff tried the tempura (fried) flying fish, and you can even eat the fins! They are so crispy, is like eating chips. ^^
トビウオの天ぷらは、ヒレまで食べられます！サクサクで、まるでチップスを食べているようです。^^

On your way to Yakushima, you might even see them “flying” around the ferry. ^^
屋久島に行く途中、フェリーの周りを「飛んでいる」のを見ることができるかもしれません。^^
