Tankan | タンカン
The “Tankan” season is here! The “Tankan” is a natural hybrid between “Ponkan” and “Sweet orange”, and is one of the main agricultural products in Yakushima Island.
「タンカン」の季節がやってきました！「ポンカン」 と 「スイートオレンジ」 の自然交配種である 「タンカン」 は、屋久島の主要農作物の一つです。
At Yakushima Senvus Village, the “tankan” are grown organically following the 3 NO’s: no agricultural chemicals, no weed killer and no chemical fertilizer, allowing the fruit to grow with their natural original taste, a delicious balance of sweetness and sourness.
「屋久島センバスビレッジ」では、「無農薬・無化学肥料・無除草剤」の「３つの『無』」で完全無農薬栽培を行っており、果実本来のおいしさ、甘みと酸味のバランスを大切に育てています。
After one year of carefully taking care of the “tankan” trees, we can see the fruit of our staff’s hard work. Thank you everyone!
