Surprising chance.
Last year in November, two volunteers came to Yakushima: one was from France, one from Belgium.
Thanks to the diverse volunteering activities done together and special atmosphere of the island, they became good friends.
Because they spoke English, French and Japanese, they could also participate in a unique event at Senvus Village!
Many business people and journalists from all over the world attended, but it was a successful day thanks to all the languages that could be spoken.
We were so grateful to have them!
After their time on Yakushima, they went to Fukuoka to try and work at an office related to Senvus Group, gaining a new job experience in Japan.
The Workaway was a moment to enjoy for the present but also an opportunity to broaden their future.
去年11月にフランス人とベルギー人が来ました。
沢山のボランティア活動を共に行い、島の素敵な雰囲気もあって2人は仲良くなりました。
彼女たちは、フランス語、英語、日本語が話せたので、センバスビレッジで開催された、大きなイベントに、アシスタントとして参加しました。
世界各国から、実業家やジャーナリストが訪れ、様々な言語が飛び交う中、彼女たちは大活躍でした。
屋久島ボランティアの後、福岡にも学校のオフィスがあるので、そこでもボランティアをしてくれました。
ここでも大活躍でした！
屋久島に来たボランティアの皆さんは、ボランティア活動も楽しんでいますが、それ以上に、
未来を広げる「素晴らしい経験」をしているようです。
