“Walking around the island after a rainy day I found this cute little crab standing in the middle of the road.

雨上がりの島を歩いていたら、道の真ん中に立っているかわいいカニを見つけました。

I always thought that crabs were red, so I was surprised to see a blue one, and closer to the mountain than the sea.

カニは赤いものだとばかり思っていたので、青いカニ、しかも海よりも山に近いところにいるのに驚きました。

As the crab noticed me, it decided to stay still, as if it would disappear from my sight by doing so! As I drew closer to take the picture, it would still stay frozen in the spot. ^^’

カニは私に気づくと、まるで、じっとしていれば自分が私の視界から消えてしまうかのように、私が写真を撮ろうと近づいても、その場で固まっていました。^^’

It was getting late, so I decided to leave. Maybe he needed to get somewhere and I was delaying him; but I will always remember the curious encounter with the invisible crab. ^^

遅くなってしまったので私は帰ることにしましたが、もしかしたら彼はどこかに行こうとしていたのに、遅刻させてしまったかもしれません。でも「見えないカニ」との不思議な出会いは、きっと忘れないでしょう。^^ “

You can find a lot of curious living creatures in Yakushima. ^^
