Last volunteers | 最後のボランティア
Lloyd from Belgium, and Maisie from England came as volunteers to Yakushima Senvus Village and Yakushima Ohzora High School 2 years ago. They were actually the last volunteers we could welcome before the pandemic started.
２年前、ベルギーからロイド、イギリスからメイジーが、ボランティアとして「屋久島センバスビレッジ」と「屋久島おおぞら高等学校」に来てくれました。パンデミックが始まる前に迎えた最後のボランティアでした。
They spent a month helping us with various activities, doing hikes and going around the island enjoying its beautiful nature. Lloyd also wrote a short poem, that you can read through the following link:
1カ月間、さまざまな活動を手伝ってくれたり、ハイキングをしたり、島を回って美しい自然を楽しんだりしました。ロイドは短い詩も書いてくれたので、下のリンクからご覧ください。
We hope the situation gets better, so we can continue welcoming foreigners and seeing the island from their eyes. ^^
状況が改善されて、再び外国人ボランティアを迎え入れ、彼らの目から見た屋久島にふれられるようになることを願っています。^^
