A student who graduated from Yakushima Ohzora High School said after visiting Yakushima.
屋久島おおぞら高等学校を卒業した生徒が、屋久島を訪れた後、こう言っていました。

“Trees, insects, animals, and all living things were living freely and peacefully, I was encouraged by the sight of them.”
「木々、虫たち、動物たち、すべての生き物が自由にのびのびと生きていて、
その姿に背中を押されました。」

“In Yakushima, I was able to confront myself.”
「屋久島では、自分自身と向き合うことができました。」

And I thought, “I definitely want to come back someday.”
そして「いつかまた必ず来たい。」と。

Yakushima probably has a special charm that only those who have been there can understand.
