Hoya Carnosa | サクララン（ホヤ）
The Hoya carnosa are finally flowering at Yakushima Senvus Village.
屋久島センバスビレッジでは、ついに「サクララン（ホヤ）」が開花しました。
This plant, also known as porcelain flower or wax plant in English, is native to Eastern Asia and Australia. When growing in the wild, they tend to wrap themselves around another tree, in this case the Japanese fig located in the Scented garden.
この植物は、英語で「磁器の花」や「蝋（ロウ）の植物」とも呼ばれており、原産地は南アジアやオーストラリアです。自然の中では、他の木に巻き付いて育ちます。屋久島センバスビレッジでは、「香りの庭」にあるアコウの樹に巻き付いています。
These flowers are sweetly scented and their color can vary from white to light pink.
In Japanese, the Hoya Carnosa is also called Sakuraran. Sakura (cherry tree) for the pink color of the flower, similar to the cherry tree flower; and Ran (orchid) because the leaves are similar to the orchid leaves.
花は甘い香りがして、色は白から淡いピンクまでさまざまです。花が「桜」の花に似ており、葉は「蘭」の葉に似ていることから、日本では「サクララン」と呼ばれています。
Since the flowering season is long, I hope to discover some more flowers soon. ^^
