Butterflies

Butterflies are an important part of our ecosystem, but because of environmental changes, the total number of butterflies has been decreasing and a lot of species are at risk.

チョウは、私たちの生態系の大切なメンバーですが、環境の変化によって多くが危機にさらされており、チョウの総数は減少しています。

In Yakushima Senvus Village, we help with the reproduction of the Orange Tip Butterfly by planting “Gyoboku” tree, where they lay their eggs, and “Bussouge” tree, from which they feed.

屋久島センバスビレッジでは、以前は屋久島でたくさん見られた「ツマベニチョウ」の保護のため、産卵の場となる「ギョボク」や、花の蜜が餌となる「ブッソウゲ」を植えることで、繁殖を助けています。

And thanks to Senvus Village being completely pesticide free, other species also benefit by visiting us and feeding of our plants.

センバスビレッジには、他のチョウたちもやってきて、「完全無農薬」で育てられた植物の恩恵を受けています。
