Did you know there are blue bees?
Our staff found this unusual blue bee at Yakushima Senvus Village!
青いハチがいるのをご存知ですか?
スタッフが「屋久島センバスビレッジ」で、珍しい青いハチを見つけました！
Its Japanese name is “ナミルリモンハナバチ – Nami Ruri Mon Hana Bee”, and its scientific name is “Thyreus decorus”; but they are also called simply “Blue Bee”.
日本語の正式名は「ナミルリモンハナバチ」で、学名は「Thyreus decorus」ですが、単に「ブルービー」とも呼ばれています。
Since they are rarely seen, it is said that they bring happiness to those who see them. ^^
If you are lucky, you might see it next time you visit Yakushima Senvus Village!
めったに見られないので、「幸せを呼ぶ蜂」とも言われています。^^
